Our Journey

A Girl Called Hope believes every person is valued, purposed, and can have a future full of hope and possibilities.

Our hope is to see each person strengthen their resilience and wellbeing, discover their purpose and worth, and bring value to their world as productive and thriving individuals.

A Girl Called Hope offers solutions by working with those motivated to strengthen their mental health and wellbeing.

Our Pathways to Hope Programme, Wellbeing Skills Courses and Toolkits together with our Personal Development courses are based on the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of health, addressing each individual’s Tinana (Physical), Hinengaro (Emotional & Psychological), Wairua (Spiritual) and Whanau (Relational) aspects of their life.

Through our programme and courses, we facilitate learning of positive life skills, including awareness of unhelpful thinking patterns, ways to build resilience and how to maintain healthy connection with others. Each participant is encouraged to reflect on their own journey and to work on the goals that matter to them.

Our hope is that everyone who engages with us would experience unconditional love, and transformative change, resulting in more personal self-development and freedom; this is our Christian environment, our Kaupapa.
