Book: Voices of Pain and the Voice of Hope by Alexis Waterhouse

Voices of Pain and the Voice of Hope is a visual, emotional, textural and spiritual journey through pain to hope. It is designed to help expose the lies and thinking mistakes that isolate and entrap people suffering through emotional pain and mental health issues. It includes drawings and reflections from those who have walked - and are walking - through their pain; as well as beautiful photographs and teaching on mindfulness and grounding. The main body of the book is a poem looking at several different areas of emotional pain: eating disorders, abuse, suicide, anxiety and depression, attachment disorder and self hatred etc. Each "Voice of Pain" is followed by a Selah - a chance to pause, breathe, reflect and find peace - even in a time of trouble or hardship.
